Built on the science of pedagogy, adult learning, and leadership, Grow Society offers coaching and support using a community development approach. With Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Anti-Bias and Anti-Racism at the core of our frameworks, we ensure that these elements go beyond well intended initiatives and become seminal, sustainable, and progressive realities of practice for our partnering organizations.
Grow Society is a Corrective
As we examined the central issues of prejudice, bias, poverty, resource insecurity, racism, access, incarceration, and trauma, it became apparent that not only were the shortcomings and failures of education influenced upon by these issues; they were too often at the root of them. Tomorrow’s society is the result of today’s education. We at Grow Society are standing up to change the world, and we know that begins at our schools, colleges, and universities.
Grow Society is Action
BIPOC owned and operated, we are committed to social and education justice. As such we:
Instituted a transparent salary scale by which all consultants are paid equally in accordance with an assignment length and type.
Support the development of our consultants’ intellectual property while ensuring consultants retain ownership rights over original products and materials.
Commit to ensuring that at least 75% of our consultants and 80% of our Executive Board are members of BIPOC communities.
Commit to doing the continual work of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, as well as, ABAR work internally.
Re-invest 25% of our net-profit back into our communities through direct-to-recipient provisions, including food and clothing drives, the gifting of school supplies, Donors Choose donations, and vetted community initiatives.
Provide each consultant with 13 paid service days for volunteering with a community organization of their choice.
